Welcome to the Lost In America Photography Substack.

What’s the point of this thing?

This publication is an attempt to jump off the disposable image and info stream of social media and build longer form work. Primarily a photography-driven place, I am trying to tell and connect the stories of the people and places that make this whole crazy thing go around.

Over 4 years and about 40,000 miles of traveling the small roads, looking for the myth of Main Street, exploring local identities, personal stories and through it all trying to understand for myself what the hell is happening.

How often will new material be posted?

“Stories” will be posted at least twice weekly

Smaller “Notes” will be posted throughout the week
