I love seeing the contact sheets. Thanks for showing your progress. - For me, if I can get 10 shots from a roll that I’m happy with, I consider that a success. More, and I’m ecstatic, Less, and I shrug hoping to do better next time.

I enjoyed reading about your journey back into film. Thanks for sharing. Now that you’re making progress, how would you compare the two mediums (digital and film) in terms of your own photographic fulfillment? Do you find the film process is holding you back, or is it adding to the experience?

I've noticed that I am getting better at estimating exposure on both as a result of being forced to be full manual on the film camera. My usual shooting preference is aperture priority, so the extra practice at full manual has benefited both platforms. I've been better about leaving the house with one or the other, the downside being that sometimes I find myself in a situation that I no one would be better than the other. The most obvious being the ability of the digital camera to basically see in the dark and render good quality images at increasingly high isos for night photography. The smaller form factor of the Leica vs the Fuji h2 makes me want to reconsider which Fuji body I should have. I will keep shooting both and probably the digital leaves aves with me more than anything. But dedicated film days have been rewarding in terms of focus.
